There can be many reasons why you may want your Bookmarks/Favorites and Passwords backed up so they can be restored if lost or needed on another system.
Google Chrome
Passwords
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and click on Settings

Click on Autofill and passwords

Click on Google Password Manager

Click on Settings

Click Download file under Export Passwords and enter your account password, in the pop-up to access the download,
then save the file to a Secured Location. Passwords will not be encrypted in the file

To restore the passwords, follow the instructions above to get back into the Google Password Manager
Settings and click Select file under Import Passwords
Bookmarks
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and click on Bookmarks and Lists

In the sub-menu that pops-up, click on Bookmark Manager
Ctrl + Shift + ‘O’ can also be used to open Bookmarks Manager

In the Bookmark Manager, click on the 3 dots, in the upper right hand corner …
under the 3 dots used to get into the settings

The Export and Import options are available in this menu …
Use the Export Bookmarks option to save Bookmarks to a Saved location.

To restore Bookmarks, follow the steps above to get back into the Bookmarks Manager
and click Import Bookmarks
Mozilla Firefox
Passwords
Click on the 3 lines in the upper right hand corner of the browser, and click on Settings

In the menu on the left, in the settings page, click on Privacy & Security

Scroll down in the frame to the right of this menu and click on Saved Passwords under Passwords

In the Password Manager, click on the 3 dots, in the upper right hand corner …
under the 3 lines used to get into the settings and click Export Passwords

Save the file to a Secured Location. Passwords will not be encrypted in the file
To restore the passwords, follow the instructions above to get back into the Password Manager Settings,
click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the page and click Import from a File
Bookmarks
Click on the 3 lines in the upper right hand corner of the browser, and click on Bookmarks,
then click on Manage Bookmarks at the bottom of the list of bookmarks
Ctrl + Shift + ‘O’ can also be used to open Bookmarks Manager


In the page that pops-up, click on Import and Backup, then click Export Bookmarks to HTML…


To restore Bookmarks, follow the steps above to get back into the Bookmarks Manager
and click Import Bookmarks from HTML…
Microsoft Edge
Passwords
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and click on Settings

Under Your Profile, click on Passwords under the Microsoft Wallet section

Click on the 3 dots next to Settings within the Passwords section and click Export Passwords

Click Export Passwords again, enter your windows password, if requested,
then save the file to a Secured Location. Passwords will not be encrypted in the file.
To restore the passwords, follow the instructions above to get back into the Password Manager Settings,
click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the page and click Import Passwords
Favorites
Click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the browser and click on Favorites
Ctrl + Shift + ‘O’ can also be used to open Favorites

In the pop-up that opens, click on the 3 dots and Export Favorites
